On June 28th, 2014 at 4:37 PM, Juneau Police received a report of an unconscious male on the Flume Trail, off of Basin Road. Additional information from the caller indicated CPR was in progress. JPD officers and Capital City Fire and Rescue personnel responded, and the man was later declared deceased. The man, a 63 year-old local male, died of an apparent medical condition. The state medical examiner?s office authorized an autopsy. Next of kin notification is pending.
