On 06/11/14 at about 4:27 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a single vehicle, motor vehicle crash on the inbound lane of Egan Drive, in the area of Wal-Mart.
JPD and CCFR responded to the scene. A 25 year old male was operating a blue 1994 Nissan Sentra inbound on Egan Drive when his vehicle hit the guard rail. The driver was transported to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for medical evaluation. It was later determined that he did not have injuries related to the crash. The crash is believed to have been caused due to medical reasons.
The inbound lane of Egan Drive was closed for about thirty minutes. The outbound lane of Egan Drive was diverted down the Glacier Highway off ramp by Wal-Mart, and then rerouted back onto Egan Drive.
