Subject: Spot the Chief for a Ten Spot
Date: 2014-06-03
From: Lieutenant David Campbell
Case or Incident: #N/A
Summary:

The Juneau Police Department and the Alaska Peace Officers Association-Capital City Chapter are joining together for the 2014 ?Spot the Chief for a Ten Spot? campaign. To encourage drivers to watch for bicyclists on the road, Juneau Police Chief Bryce Johnson will be riding his bike at various places around the CBJ from June 9th through June 20th. He will be wearing a distinctive white shirt with red spots.

If you see Chief Johnson riding a bike around town while wearing the spotted shirt, call the chief?s assistant at 500-0674 and speak to her or leave a message. Only the first ten correct callers each day will be awarded the ten dollar prize. Please call when you are not driving, but within two hours. Give the time and place you saw Chief Johnson along with your name, phone number and license plate. Only the driver is eligible to win the ten dollars. If you are one of the first ten correct callers each day, you will be notified and you can pick up your ?Ten Spot? prize from the front desk of JPD during business hours.

The Capital City Chapter of the Alaska Peace Officers Association is providing the cash for the prizes.

Have a great summer, watch for bicyclists on the road, and don?t forget to ?Spot the Chief for a Ten Spot.?
