The weekend of Friday May 23rd through Monday May 26th, 2014 is both the Memorial Day Weekend and Graduation Weekend for Juneau high schools.
The Juneau Police Department is increasing coverage for the weekend, to include both an in-town presence and a presence on the outlying road system. Thirteen additional officers will work throughout the weekend to provide added police coverage. In addition, the CBJ?s Mobile Incident Command vehicle will be parked out the road and will be staffed 24 hours a day.
Also, the Juneau Crime Line is increasing the normal DUI Reward from $100 to $200 for the last two weekends of May, 2014.
The Juneau Police Department wishes everyone a safe Memorial Day and Graduation Weekend.
