The Alaska Peace Officers Association Capital City Chapter is hosting the
2014 Alaska Law Enforcement Torch Run Pledge Drive
Benefiting Special Olympics Alaska on
Saturday May 17th at 10 a.m. at Twin Lakes
The community is invited to participate in the Torch Run.
Law Enforcement agencies statewide are taking up the challenge of raising money for the Special Olympics by running a 5K race called the Torch Run. The Law Enforcement Torch Run will raise vital funds for Special Olympics. These funds will be used to provide athletes the opportunity to travel to state, national, and international events.
Registration and pledge turn in starts at 9:30 a.m. with the Torch Run starting at 10 a.m. Participants who raise $25 or more will receive a t- shirt.
