Update
On April 19th, at about 7:35 in the evening, an off-duty Juneau Police Department officer saw Detemple getting into a newer model Jeep. The officer reported the license plate and on-duty officers in the area were able to conduct a traffic stop on the Jeep. Detemple was arrested without incident. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

The Juneau Police Department is attempting to locate Nicholas Alexander Detemple. Detemple has a warrant for violating his parole on an original charge of misconduct involving controlled substances in the 3rd degree. Detemple is 26 years old. He is 5?10? tall and weighs 160 pounds. Detemple has tattoos completely covering the sides and front of his neck up to chin level. His hair is short and dark.
An off-duty JPD officer saw Detemple on April 6th near the airport, driving a 1999 green Volkswagon Passat. Detemple recognized the officer and nearly struck him with the car while fleeing. Detemple is estimated to have driven 80 miles per hour on Glacier Highway near Jordan Avenue when he fled the area.
Detemple has a history of having weapons in addition to being associated with drugs. Citizens are asked to avoid approaching Detemple and to call JPD to report his location.
