Subject: Attempted Criminal Child Enticement

Summary:

On Friday, 02/07/2014 at approximately 1:56 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of an attempted Criminal Child Enticement incident. Staff from Floyd Dryden Middle School reported that the incident happened on Thursday after school.

In essence, a 6th grade female student was walking home on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. The student reported that a truck occupied by two men pulled up next to her and the passenger asked if she wanted a ride. The child ran away from the truck.

The truck is described as an older blue Toyota pickup with a black canopy. The driver is described as being in his fifties and he had a black and grey beard. The passenger was described as being in his mid 30s and was wearing a green hat.

Anyone with information concerning the Toyota pickup or the two men are encouraged to call the Juneau Police Department immediately.
