On July 25th, 2013 at 4:31 PM, Juneau Police received a report of a fight between two men and a female, in the Twin Lakes parking lot. The caller reported the men were dragging the woman, and one having thrown the woman onto the hood of a car. Officers responded to the area and contacted a 25 year-old female, who reported being assaulted by a single suspect and had minor injuries. Investigation revealed during the assault, the woman reported having been dragged by a vehicle driven by the suspect, who was leaving the area.
Officers later contacted the suspect, a 44 year-old man. The man, identified as local resident James M. Depasquale, was arrested and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on one count of Assault in the Third Degree (Domestic Violence). He was lodged without bail. The investigation into this case is continuing. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
