On June 6th, 2013, at about 1030 hours, officers of the Juneau Police Department working with the taskforce Southeast Alaska Chiefs Against Drugs (SEACAD) and federal officers from multiple agencies arrested 23 year old Juneau resident Hans William Elliot Petaja. Petaja is charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree and is being held at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The crime is a class A felony, punishable by up to 20 years incarceration and a fine up to $250,000.
The investigation involved the controlled and supervised delivery of heroin as authorized under a warrant. After taking Petaja into custody officers applied for, received, and served a search warrant on a residence on Threadneedle Street.
