On February 28, 2013 at about 6:40pm, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a vehicle crash at 8 mile Egan Drive. Officers and Capital City Fire & Rescue responded and located a two vehicle crash blocking the outbound lanes.
Investigation revealed that a 1992 Honda driven by 53 year old Juneau resident, Archie LEE, failed to yield when making a left turn from Egan Drive Inbound onto Glacier Highway turning in front of a 1995 Mazda driven by a 38 year old Juneau resident.
Both drivers were transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
LEE was cited for failing to yield. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. During investigation of the crash, Egan Drive outbound was closed for about 30 minutes.
