INFORMATION RELEASE

Subject: Escape
Date: 2013-01-26
From: Sgt. Chris Gifford
Case or Incident: #130126-002
Summary:

On 01-25-2013 at 9:42 PM, an employee of the Johnson Youth Center juvenile detention facility reported two subjects had broken out of the facility. The caller gave descriptions of the two, and followed them for a short distance before losing sight of the men. JPD officers responded to the area, conducted a search, and did not find the subjects.

At 12:00 AM on 01-26-2013, a caller in the area of Blackerby Street reported hearing voices outside of her home. JPD responded and located the tracks of two people, moving in the direction of Lemon Creek. Officers again began a search, this time locating the two men inside of a storage shed behind a residence in the 4300 block of Glacier Highway. The two men, 18 year-old Alexander NETLING and 18 year-old Amante FRAZIER-REESE, were both taken into custody at that time.

Further investigation revealed the two men caused damage to the Johnson Youth Center building during their escape. They were both lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on charges of Escape in the Second Degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor. They were held without bail.

All factual allegations contained in this release are based upon preliminary investigation and are subject to change or clarification as the investigation continues. Any charges reported in this release are merely accusations and all persons named in this release are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
