On 11/29/2012, at approximately 4:27 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a call from 25 year old Juneau resident Ashley STANSELL. STANSELL was calling from an apartment located on the 9100 block of Cinema Drive. STANSELL reported that she had just stabbed her boyfriend, a 28 year old Juneau resident. Officers arrived at the apartment and found the door unlocked. Officers check the apartment and no one was there.
At approximately 6:00 AM, JPD was notified by the Bartlett Regional Hospital that the 28 year old male had arrived at the Emergency Room and had a non-life threatening stab wound to the right side of his abdomen. The male said that he had been stabbed by STANSELL.
At approximately 9:15 AM, JPD officers met with STANSELL behind Super Bear and she was placed under arrest for Assault in the Second Degree Domestic Violence. STANSELL was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on No Bail.
The Investigation continues.
