On 11-29-2012 at 6:00 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a man with a stab wound at the Bartlett Regional Hospital. Officers responded and found a 28 year-old local man with a wound to his abdomen. According to the man, he was stabbed while in an argument with a female who was known to him, while at an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Cinema Drive. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers later served a search warrant on an apartment in the area, and located and seized a knife from the apartment.
Officers located the female suspect about four hours later. The woman, 25 year-old local resident Ashley STANSELL, was arrested and charged with one count of Assault in the Second Degree domestic violence, a class ?B? felony. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail.
The investigation into this case is continuing.
