On Thursday, 11-29-12, Juneau Police Department officers will conduct firearms training at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center Range starting at 2 p.m. and ending at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Because Juneau experiences long periods of low light in the winter, it is important for officers to have firearms training in low light conditions. Members of the public may also see strobes and emergency overhead lights from police cars in the area.
JPD would like to apologize in advance for any annoyance that might be caused by the noise associated with this important training.
