On 08/01/2012, at approximately 11:47 AM, the Juneau Police arrested 47 year old Juneau resident Russel Shaun GRIFFIN on a $250,000 arrest warrant. The warrant was issued for GRIFFIN to answer to the charges of three counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st Degree an Unclassified Felony, and four counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 2nd Degree a Class B Felony. The arrest followed an investigation conducted by the Juneau Police Department involving two victims, a 10 year old female and a 9 year old female.
JPD detectives are continuing the investigation into the current allegations against GRIFFIN. JPD detectives are also attempting to determine if there are any additional victims of GRIFFIN in the community. Anyone with information concerning potential victims of Russel GRIFFIN are encouraged to contact Detective Kim Horn at JPD at 586-0600.
