On June 30, 2012 at approximately 8:30 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a medical call at Capital Disposal. Capital City Fire Rescue personnel and Juneau police officers arrived and found a 46 year old male employee deceased inside one of the business? bathrooms.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the employee had died of an apparent drug overdose. Foul play is not suspected. The State Medical Examiner?s Office was contacted and will perform an autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of death.
Next of kin has been notified. The name of the deceased will not be released pending confirmation of the cause of death.
The investigation continues.
