Summary:

On 06/15/2012, at approximately 0138 hours, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a stabbing that took place at the Super 8 Motel located on Trout Street. Juneau Police officers arrived in the area and contacted three injured people and multiple witnesses.

The investigation revealed that approximately 10 people were partying at the Super 8 Motel. An argument and fight ensued between a 25 year old male Juneau resident and 32 year old Juneau resident Charles Alan ABBOTT. Witnesses reported seeing ABBOTT stab the 25 year old male with a folding knife. The 25 year old male received two stabs wounds to his torso. During the altercation two more people were injured. A 32 year old male Juneau resident received a 3? long cut to his right forearm and a 22 year old female Juneau resident received a superficial cut to her left hand. All three victims were treated for their injuries at the Bartlett Regional Hospital.

ABBOTT and a 23 year old female Juneau resident were located by officers walking away from the area. ABBOTT and the 23 year old female were detained. Both ABBOTT and the 23 year old female appeared uninjured. A bloody folding knife with a 4? blade was surrendered to officers by the 23 year old female.

ABBOTT was arrested for one count of Assault in the 2nd Degree, and two counts of Assault in the 3rd Degree. ABBOTT was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on No Bail.

Alcohol was a factor in the incident.

The investigation is continuing.
