On 6-10-12, at about 2:21 AM, The Juneau Police Department received multiple reports that a vehicle had crashed into a residence at 9.5 mile Glacier Highway. One witness stated the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck parked vehicles before crashing into the residence causing significant structural damage to the building.
Officers responded to the scene and learned that the driver had fled on foot. The driver was located a short time later at a nearby residence and identified as 22 year old Juneau resident, Travis Lies. Lies was arrested for driving while intoxicated, failure to give immediate notice of an accident, and reckless endangerment. Lies was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
