This morning at 3:52am, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a burglary alarm at Kenny?s Liquor Store in the downtown area. When officers arrived they found broken glass in the front door. When they entered the store they found no one inside.
The person responsible for the store arrived and officers viewed surveillance footage which showed four (4) people approach the door, break out the glass and enter. They took several items and left.
At approximately 4:00am, a tip from a caller led officers to the area of Cope Park where they found a group of people drinking alcohol. Officers identified the four (4) that were seen in the surveillance video and questioned them. Subsequently the following arrests were made.
22 year-old Juneau resident, Clifford BROWN, was arrested for Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor.
25 year-old Juneau resident, Derek TOTEMOFF, was arrested for Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and Theft in the 4th degree a class B misdemeanor.
18 year old Juneau resident, Vivian WRIGHT, was arrested for Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony and Theft in the 4th degree a class B misdemeanor.
All three were lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center and the investigation continues.
