On 05/03/2012, at approximately 0712 hours, the Juneau Police Department received a second hand report that a jogger discovered a dead body in the woods behind Dzantiki Heeni Middle School.
JPD officers and detectives arrived and located the deceased body of a 55 year old Juneau female resident. The female was identified, but her name will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
Detectives processed the location where the deceased female?s body was located. The State Medical Examiner?s Office was contacted and requested the body for an autopsy. No foul play is suspected.
The investigation continues.

Next of kin has been notified. The victim was identified as 55 year old Juneau resident Karen Eileen KENNEDY.
