Case or Incident: #120428-004
On 04-28-2012 at 3:50 AM, a Juneau Police officer heard the sounds of a disturbance in the area of Main Street and Egan Drive. The officer saw a man lying unconscious on the pavement, with several people standing around him. At the same time, JPD received several calls regarding a fight in the area. Officers summoned assistance from Capital City Fire and Rescue medics, and began to investigate the incident. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of apparently serious injuries.
The investigation revealed the unconscious man, a 28 year-old local resident, had been assaulted by another man who was still in the area. Officers located and contacted the subject, who admitted to having been in an altercation with the victim. The suspect was identified as 28 year-old Brandon Johnson. Johnson was arrested and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center, on one count of Assault in the Second Degree, a class B felony. He was held without bail. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
