Update - 1/6/12 at 3:30pm:
At approximately 12:00pm, Officers arrested 19 year old Juneau resident, Joshua Raymond JONES. JONES was arrested on charges of Robbery in the second degree, a Class B Felony and Assault in the 4th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. JONES was lodged at Lemon Creek Correction Center without bail.

This morning at 1:45am, the Juneau Police Department received a report that a cab driver, a 46 year old Juneau man, had been assaulted in the Jordan Creek Shopping Center parking lot (2200 block of Trout St). The initial investigation revealed that the cab driver picked up a man downtown and gave him a ride to the valley. When the cab arrived at the Jordan Creek Shopping Center parking lot the the man took an undisclosed amount of money from the cab driver and hit him in the face. The man then ran away.
CCF/R arrived and took the cab driver to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Officers are investigating this case and more information will be released as it becomes available.
