On January 4th, 2012, at about 4:00pm, Officers of the Juneau Police Department (JPD) along with law enforcement personnel from the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted 51 year old Angelo Bruce KIM in the 4000 block of Vintage Boulevard. KIM was contacted because of information law enforcement had received about possible drug possession. He was found to be in possession of 6.2 grams of methamphetamine and was arrested for misconduct involving controlled substances in the 4th degree, a class C felony. KIM was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail.
Officers continued with the investigation and served a search warrant on KIM?s residence in the 100 block of Front Street where they contacted 40 year old Sung Hun Bag, who had fraudulent identification cards. HUN was arrested for forgery in the 2nd degree, a class C felony and was also lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
The initial investigation has revealed that HUN or an associate may have been using checks and credit cards obtained by using false identification cards. JPD is looking for any merchant who has been defrauded with those checks or credit cards. Please call JPD if you have been defrauded of goods or services with checks or credit cards under the following names:
