Summary:
On 12-18-2011 at 3:05pm, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of two pedestrians being hit by a vehicle in the 6500 block of Glacier Hwy. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2005 Honda Civic failed to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk, striking two local minor females, both age 15. The driver of the Honda, a local 48 year old male, was cited for Fail to Yield to Pedestrian in a Crosswalk.
The two 15 year olds were transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
