On December 9, 2011, the Juneau Police Department received a report that two 4 year old Juneau boys had bruises that they reported receiving from their daycare provider. Yesterday at 1:30pm officers served a search warrant at a residence in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. Officers were accompanied by State Child Care Licensing officials who revoked the daycare provider?s license. Three children were in the home when officers arrived and were picked up by their parents prior to officers leaving the residence.
The daycare provider, a 40 year old Juneau woman, was charged with two counts of Assault which are misdemeanors. These charges were forwarded to the City Attorney?s office.
The investigation continues.
