On 10-22-11, at about 1:55am, an officer of the Juneau Police Department observed a 2004 Scion driving outbound on Egan Drive near Aurora Harbor. The Scion drove off of the roadway and up the embankment on the outbound side of Egan Drive causing it to roll over three times.
Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and transported the driver and only occupant, a 29 year old Juneau resident, to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash. Egan Drive outbound was closed for approximately 30 minutes. Investigation continues and charges are pending.
