On 9-8-11, at about 0944 hours, The Juneau Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on Yandukin Drive near Crest Street.
Investigation determined that Robert RICHINS, a 64 year old Idaho resident, crossed the road?s center line in a 2011 Toyota Corolla and struck a 2006 Freightliner truck. The Toyota was totaled and towed from the scene. The Freightliner truck sustained an estimated $4000 in damage and was driven from the scene. RICHINS was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital by Capital City Fire and Rescue for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. RICHINS was later cited for negligent driving. Yandukin Drive was closed between the Juneau International Airport and Crest Street for approximately 30 minutes.
