On 8-24-11, at about 1609 hours, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Glacier Highway and Anka Street. Police and Capital City Fire Rescue responded.
Investigation determined that Samuel Trivette, a 67 year old Juneau resident driving a 1996 Honda Accord, struck a 23 year old female in the cross walk while she was crossing Anka Street. The female was transported to Bartlett Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The male driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
