On July 5, 2011 at about 4:40 pm, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a box truck rolling over on Egan Drive near Wal Mart. There were no injuries reported to JPD.
Investigation revealed that a 1995 White Chevy ?box? truck had lost both rear dual drivers side wheels causing it to spin out of control. The vehicle was travelling outbound on Egan Drive and ended up spinning around and coming to a stop facing inbound traffic on Egan. The vehicle was found to not have rolled over as was initially reported.
The driver, a 41 year old Juneau Resident, and the passenger, an 18 year old Juneau resident were not injured during the accident. Officers closed Egan Drive for short periods of time to remove the vehicle from the roadway. The cause of the accident was determined to be equipment failure. No citations have been issued.
