This morning at about 10:00am, the Juneau Police Department, Dispatch Unit received a report that 53 year old Juneau resident Judith LINDOFF had not been seen for a couple of weeks and the caller was concerned about her. The caller had already checked LINDOFF?s residence but did not find her there. Dispatchers were also told that LINDOFF?s boyfriend, 57 year old Juneau resident Roderick PARFITT, owned a boat in Aurora Harbor but the caller had not yet checked there.
Officers went to the boat in Aurora Harbor and found both LINDOFF and PARFITT deceased. The initial investigation found carbon monoxide poisoning as the possible cause of death. Next of kin were notified and both bodies were sent to the Anchorage Crime Lab for an autopsy.
