This morning at 7:40am the Juneau Police Department received a report from a woman saying that she had just been involved in an accident while driving into the downtown area on Egan Dr.
When officers arrived they found a 2007 Chevy Pickup, driven by 28 year old Juneau resident Claire Hesson, had been struck from behind by a 2002 Subaru Legacy, driven by 49 year old Juneau resident Sharon Zuboff. The Subaru sustained approximately $3,000 in damage and the pickup had minor damage. There were no injuries.
The fast lane of Egan Drive was closed for approximately 20 minutes while the vehicles were cleared from the roadway. ZUBOFF was cited for failing to maintain a safe distance.
