On Monday, 05-23-11 at about 0044 hours, JPD responded to an intrusion alarm at a business at the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. On arrival, it appeared entry had been gained through a window. While investigating the crime scene, an alert officer saw a suspicious subject leaving on foot from the area and contacted the individual.
Through the investigation, it was determined the subject, identified as 20 year old Juneau resident Christopher Whitehead, was the suspect. Whitehead was ultimately placed under arrest for Burglary in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.
