On 05-03-11, a few minutes before 0100 hours, JPD received a report from a resident at an apartment complex at the 300 block of Distin Ave that somebody had just beaten and robbed a resident in one of the apartments.
Investigation revealed unknown assailants had forcibly entered a residence by breaking open the locked front door. Once inside, the subjects assaulted the resident using their hands and then fled the area after being chased away by neighbors.
The homeowner was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries by Capital City Fire Rescue.
