Summary:
On Thursday, February 24th at about 1140 p.m., the Juneau Police Department responded to 2121 Lawson Creek Road for a disturbance at an apartment. The complainant requested police assistance as an occupant had ?Started something? with her brother.
When officers arrived, they contacted several occupants inside of the apartment. Investigation determined an argument had ensued over a set of keys. During the argument, 56 year old Juneau resident Bernard SCHWIETERMAN produced a handgun and pointed it at a 55 year old male victim and demanded the keys.
A 38 year old female victim interceded and was also threatened with the handgun by SCHWIETERMAN as he pointed it at her.
Officers located a handgun inside the residence consistent with the description given by the victims. SCHWIETERMAN was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center for one count of Assault in the 3rd degree (C Felony) and held without bail.
Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
