On February 14th, 2011, as part of an investigation into the sale and distribution Heroin, the Juneau Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (JPDDEU), with the assistance of the local office of the FBI and SEACAD, contacted local Juneau resident Madelyn BROOKS age 21, at the Juneau International Airport.
A search of BROOKS disclosed she was transporting 2 ounces of Heroin. The estimated street value of the Heroin is just under $40,000.00.
Madelyn BROOKS was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Felony.
BROOKS was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center with no bail.
