Juneau, Alaska – At approximately 1:43 a.m. on July 15, 2026, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 100 block of Savikko Road following a report that a vehicle had entered the water.
Responding officers located the vehicle, a maroon Chevrolet Silverado submerged in the water. The vehicle was recovered, and no occupants were located inside or in the immediate area. The United States Coast Guard also responded to assist with the incident.
The Juneau Police Department is attempting to locate the driver of the vehicle. Based on information gathered during the initial investigation, the driver was reportedly picked up by an unknown individual and transported to the downtown Juneau area before emergency responders arrived.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the driver is asked to contact the Juneau Police Department at (907) 586-0600.
