Summary:

On February 26, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Investigators with the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) task force contacted 50-year-old Juneau resident Jermiah Lee Pond in the Nugget Mall parking lot while he was seated in his vehicle. Pond had an outstanding felony probation warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody without incident.

A probation search of the vehicle revealed a container holding a small amount of white powder residue that tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine, weighing approximately 7.3 gross grams. Investigators also located a white substance that tested presumptively positive for fentanyl, weighing approximately 1.21 gross grams.

As part of the ongoing investigation, investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at Pond’s residence in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. During the search, investigators located and seized:

  • Approximately 46.63 gross grams of ketamine
  • Approximately 293.56 gross grams of fentanyl
  • Approximately 25.84 gross grams of methamphetamine
  • Approximately 25.50 gross grams of MDMA

The total estimated street value of the seized controlled substances is approximately $162,500.

Investigators also seized $102,640 in cash and multiple recreational vehicles believed to be associated with the investigation, including:

  • A 2021 Polaris side-by-side valued at approximately $15,000
  • A Can-Am side-by-side valued at approximately $10,000
  • A Can-Am four-wheeler valued at approximately $7,000

Pond was transported to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and lodged on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (Class A Felony), two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony), five counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (Class C Felony), and the outstanding felony probation warrant.
