On February 12th, 2025, at about 9:01 p.m., a JPD patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on Glacier Highway near Sherwood Lane. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 41 year-old Juneau resident Patrick Iler. The sole passenger in the vehicle was identified as 38 year-old Juneau resident Erika Porter.
During the contact, it was determined that Iler had two outstanding warrants as follows:
Juneau AST $500 Felony Probation Violation dated 01/16/2025 – Warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation - Original Charge Criminal Mischief 3rd degree
Juneau AST $500 Felony Probation Violation dated 01/16/2025 – Warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation - Original Charge Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance 4th degree
Investigators with the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) Task Force responded to the location of the traffic stop. During the investigation the following were seized:
- About 1,131 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Over $12,000 in U.S. Currency
- Two digital scales and unused plastic baggies
The estimated street value of the controlled substances was $136,000.
Iler was arrested on the two outstanding warrants and was additionally charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4th degree.
Porter was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
Both Iler and Porter were transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.
