On 12/2/24 at about 1958 hours, the Juneau Police Department (JPD) received a report of a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a pedestrian in the 14000 block of Glacier Hwy. Investigation revealed the driver of a truck lost control of his vehicle and slid off the side of the road, striking a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to BRH in critical condition and later medevac’d. The driver of the truck, Kyle Walker, was arrested for DUI, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Second-Degree Assault, a Class B Felony. An investigation into the sequence of events leading up to the collision is still under investigation.
