On 06/11/24, investigators with the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) task force served a warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Falconer Avenue, in Klukwan, AK. The search warrant was related to multiple suspicious packages, believed to be containing narcotics, being shipped to a resident in Klukwan. During the investigation, investigators seized the following:
- 121 blue pills printed with the logo “M 30”, suspected to contain fentanyl
- 15 grams of methamphetamine
As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Klukwan resident, Hunter L. Hildre was arrested and taken to the Haines Rural Jail Facility on the following charges:
- Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances (MICS) in the 2nd degree, a class A felony
- Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances (MICS) in the 3rd degree, a class B felony
- Two counts of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances (MICS) in the 4th Degree, a class C felony
The combined value of the seized narcotics is estimated at $10,500.
SEACAD, Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs, is a regional task force comprised of municipal police departments from Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Haines, Skagway, Petersburg, Hoonah, Wrangell, Craig and Yakutat, the Alaska State Troopers, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Postal Inspection Service, and Coast Guard Investigative Service. Together, they work to investigate drug importation and distribution in the Southeast Alaska region.
