On 06/08/2024 at about 2:53 a.m. JPD received a call regarding a red truck driving erratically on Egan Drive. About 3 minutes later, the truck went into the ditch and crashed Egan outbound prior to the Old Dairy Road intersection.
When JPD officers arrived on scene they found that the truck had sheared off a light pole, rolled and the cab of the truck had separated from the frame. The 21 year old female driver of the red 1997 Ford truck sustained visible abrasions and lacerations but was conscious. She was transported by ambulance to Bartlett Regional Hospital for evaluation. She was later medevaced out of Juneau for treatment of her injuries. There were no passengers in the truck. The truck was totaled, impounded and towed from the scene. The case is under investigation.
