The National Weather Service Forecasts-

TODAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY. PATCHY FOG EARLY IN THE MORNING. SLIGHT
CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGHS AROUND 33.
LIGHT WINDS BECOMING SOUTHEAST 10 MPH LATE IN THE AFTERNOON.

TONIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW. LOWS AROUND 26. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15 MPH.

TUESDAY...CLOUDY. SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW IN THE MORNING...THEN A CHANCE OF RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGHS AROUND 36. EAST WIND 10 TO 15 MPH.

TUESDAY NIGHT...RAIN LIKELY. LOWS AROUND 34. EAST WIND 10 TO
15 MPH.

Last week we went through a period of 8 days with 5.5\" of rain to summit elevations. This settled and compacted the snowpack a great deal.

Temps over the last 2 days have fallen 10f+ degrees. This morning the Tram summit reads 25f. Eaglecrest is showing 23f at the top, 25f mid mountain and 27f at the base area.

These cold temps have locked the snowpack back up and made things quite stable. Avalanche danger is LOW at this time. Natural avalanches are unlikely and human triggered avalanches are also unlikely.

Watch for areas of Glide. Glide avalanches remain possible in those areas and are very hard to predict. Remember to avoid spending time on areas with glide cracks. Also done linger on slopes below those with glide cracks as well.

Although the forecast calls for precipitation from today into tomorrow it looks as though the volumes will not be great enough to pose a concern until closer to Wednesday.
