JPL Nooks

eBooks and eReaders are everywhere, including libraries.  Try out one of our Nook eReaders and see if ebooks are for you.  We have 10 Nooks provided through the support of the Friends of the Juneau Public Libraries. 

JPL Nooks are preloaded with 20 books and 6 audio podcasts (see titles).  You may add your own ebooks or purchase additional content.

Why eReaders at the library?

• To educate our patrons about e-reader technology and facilitate use of this emerging reading platform. 

I need help, does the library offer classes or individual help?

• Yes, the library periodically hosts eBook Open Houses to answer questions about ebooks and ereaders and offer hands on help.
• You may also contact the library and ask for the Electronic Services Librarian to schedule individual instruction.  907.586.5249.  databases@juneau.org
